What is Truly?
Truly is an intentional online platform for structured, small-group video conversations ("Circles"). We help young adults in urban India meet new people and have genuine, thoughtful conversations without algorithmic feeds, endless swiping, or public profiles.
What is a Circle?
A Circle is a 60-minute small-group video call facilitated by a trained host. Each session brings together 8 people around curated conversation prompts (Welcome, Spark, Flow, and Reflection) designed to spark meaningful dialogue.
How many people are in a Circle?
Every Circle is strictly limited to 8 paying participants and 1 host, for a maximum live room occupancy of 9 people. We intentionally cap group sizes to ensure everyone has ample time to speak and be heard.
Who is the host?
The host is a verified human facilitator who guides the session, introduces prompts, ensures balanced participation, and maintains a warm, respectful, and safe atmosphere.
How much does it cost and what does it include?
Each Circle seat costs exactly ₹199 per participant (19,900 paise). This covers the complete 60-minute hosted experience, thoughtful small-group cohorting, and access to the post-call double-blind connection exchange. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees.
When do Circles take place?
Circles are currently scheduled on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM IST. You can view all upcoming active slots on our Schedule page.
How do I join the video call?
Truly runs natively in your browser using our built-in live video room—no third-party app installations required. Simply visit your dashboard before call time, complete the camera/microphone check in the lobby, and enter the room when the host begins.
Are video calls recorded?
No. Truly operates on a strict zero-recording policy. Video and audio streams flow directly between participant browsers over an encrypted peer-to-peer WebRTC mesh and are never saved to disk or server.
How does cohorting and matching work?
When you complete your participant intake, we match you into Circles based on your city, conversation intent (e.g. friendship or thoughtful dialogue), and scheduling availability to ensure comfortable and relevant group dynamics.
Can someone see that I selected them after the call?
No. Our post-call connection exchange is completely double-blind. The other person will only find out you were interested if they also independently choose to connect with you.
What information is revealed after a mutual match?
Only your approved Instagram handle is shared with your mutual match. Truly never reveals your phone number or email address to other participants.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
You may cancel your reservation up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled Circle start time directly from your dashboard to receive a full Circle credit. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the call or missed calls ("no-shows") are non-refundable to protect the small-group experience for other participants. See our Refund Policy for details. If Truly must cancel or reschedule a Circle due to unforeseen circumstances, you will automatically receive a full credit or a 100% refund of ₹199 back to your original payment method.
How does Truly handle my personal data and account deletion?
